WWE star Alexa Bliss avoided a dangerous situation when she had a basal cell carcinoma — a type of skin cancer — removed from her face earlier this week.
A fan took a screenshot of an Instagram story made by Bliss, whose real name is Alexis Cabrera, in which she posted a picture of a bandage on the left side of her face.
“Dear younger one, you should have stayed out of the tanning beds,” Bliss wrote. “Everything is clear now! Thank you @americanskininsitute for taking such great care of me!”

The fan tweeted the screenshot of the story hoping Bliss was okay, which she confirmed.
She replied, “Thank you, don’t worry, recovery time is short. Always make sure to check your skin! Spee if you’ve been in the sun or tanned! Lol”.

Another Twitter user asked her if she saw “signs or points to check.”
“There was a spot on my face that, yeah, it got worse,” she said. “So I went for a biopsy. It was basal cell carcinoma.” “During my procedure, the doctor also found other squamous cells. It was a quick and easy procedure. It’s always a pleasure to check my skin.”
