WATCH: San Francisco Supervisor Urges $50 Million for ‘Office of Reparations’

San Francisco Board of Supervisors Shaman Walton urged his colleagues on Tuesday to approve $50 million for the “Office of Compensation” pending final approval of a larger compensation plan.

As Breitbart News reported, the San Francisco Compensation Commission, set up at the height of the Black Lives Matter movement in 2020, is considering a proposal to pay each long-term Black resident $5 million.

Although California entered the Union as a free state in 1850, and there is no math behind the $5 million figure, proponents of the plan are eager to implement it as an example to the nation.

Walton, who recently admitted using the “N-word” against a City Hall security guard, was responsible for an earlier delay in the compensation debate when he was overseas in Columbia when the commission was scheduled to meet.

However, on Tuesday he said the compensation issue was urgent and needed $50 million immediately – in the current fiscal year – to set up an office and begin an “eligibility screening” of compensation applicants:
