Vodka and gin tours are now available at one of Murray’s whiskey distilleries.
Eight Lands, which was formed in 2019, produces organic vodka and gin within Glenrinnis.
Now folk are invited to tour both his distillery site as well as the surrounding Moray countryside.
Guests can begin their adventure by hopping into an off-road vehicle with estate manager Alastair Ling who will take them to Ben Rin Peak to see the eight surrounding counties that inspired the name of the Eight Lands.
This excursion includes visits to the native cattle herds and even a chance to feed Alfie and Henry, their friendly elk.
The second part of the tour takes place at the distillery, located five miles southwest of Dufftown, and is led by distillery director Martin Peroni.
It begins with an introduction to the Eight Lands and a look at the production space to get up close to a home-made 1000 liter vat still labeled ‘Rebecca’.
Guests are then escorted to the tasting room where they can participate in a thoughtful tasting and tasting session.
Afterwards, you will be served a light lunch containing locally sourced produce, as well as a glass of frozen vodka along with a scone with cream and jam.
A range of extras from takeaway to clay pigeon shooting are also available.
