Two-time league and cup winners Buckie Ladies FC are set to prepare to defend their title with a friendly against Elgin City Ladies FC.
The newly formed side will head to Portgordon on Sunday with the daunting task of taking on the Highland and Islands League champions and League Cup winners.
Elgin’s fledgling club hopes to enter the fifth tier of Scottish women’s football in August this year.
Buckie is set to start his league campaign on Sunday, April 2, with a stern test against last season’s title rivals, the Clash.
Champions are eager to hear from new players who would like to join the team. Rain sessions are usually on Tuesday evenings at Gordon Park from 6:30pm to 8pm – anyone interested is requested to write to Boki Ladies’ Facebook page for more details.
