Thieves break into a Glasgow house and steal a Rolls-Royce and a Ferrari

Police have opened an investigation after targeting a house in Merrill Road last night.

The thieves slammed into the high-value cars after breaking into the property around 8:30pm on Tuesday, March 21st.

It is believed that the White Rolls Royce and Black Ferrari were both removed from the house at around 8.45pm.

Both cars were spotted on the M8 and the Ferrari was tracked on Wednesday afternoon in the Edinburgh area.

Police are now appealing for information.

Detective Inspector Gary Cassidy of Helen Street Police Station said: “Our investigation into the break-in on Tuesday night continues to establish more details about the circumstances and to trace those involved.

Two cars were stolen from the property, a white Rolls-Royce Wraith and a black Ferrari Scaletti.

The Ferrari was tracked on Wednesday afternoon in the Edinburgh area.

“We know both cars were seen on the M8 from Glasgow bound for Edinburgh around 9pm on a Tuesday evening and I would urge anyone who has seen either of these cars on a Tuesday evening or since to contact us.

“If you have any information about this break-in or theft, please contact those responsible on 101, quoting reference number 3955 dated March 21, 2023. Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
