The winners are present at the Art of Prints exhibition launch event at the Deaton Art Gallery

Fen Ditton Gallery presents a major printmaking exhibition that has attracted over 600 entries from across the country.

The gallery’s second such exhibition, The Initiative, which began in 2021 and is led by gallery director Hannah Munby, is a self-funded project with the support of gallery owner Lotte Atwood. Opening night was held last Thursday (March 9th).

Hannah said: ‘We had about 70 odd people on opening night. We had two awards to give – Amber Jesson won the overall award for contemporary print and then there’s an industry magazine called Pressing Matters and they picked a winner too, and that was an artist called Rachel Gracey.

“It was really great and well received, and then we had a lot of visitors over the weekend. Lots of beautiful and wonderful work and quite a few artists came in from London on Thursday night, despite the weather.”
