James Martin, who played fan favorite Auld Eric in the BBC Scotland series, has been filmed singing the Irish folk song The Fields of Athenry alongside his former co-star Paul Riley, better known as Winston Ingram.
The song is often performed by Celtic fans as well as fans of the Ireland national football team.
It comes after Glasgow-born James – who was notably the only cast member who was close in age to the character he portrayed – celebrated his 92nd birthday on March 13.

Fans were loving the clip, which Paul shared on his TikTok page, with one saying: “Happy birthday James Martin is still a legend.”
Another made a reference to a “fixed game” with the comment: “Eric some singer, some chant!”
A third said, “I never thought I’d see Winston and Eric singing in the fields of Athens.”
