The Inter-Provincial Championship return and the South face Edinburgh

Ewan Swinton (Gala) will be Operations Manager and Gary Muir (Howick) will be Team Manager.

The coaches will be Matty Douglas from Hawick, Andrew Clarke from Musselburgh, Ian Chisholm from Peebles and Bert Gregg from Melrose.

The selection committee will be Ali Campbell, from Jed-Forest, and Selkirk’s Ewen Robbie.

The tournament will be played on a knock-out basis with The South facing Edinburgh at Netherdale on Tuesday 9 May.

Glasgow will play Caledonia the following weekend, the winners playing each other, the two defeated teams also playing each other.

The tournament, which is overseen by Scottish Rugby, aims to recognize players who have performed well for their club and give them an opportunity to represent their region.

It also aims to provide a way for clubs to work collaboratively, strengthen relationships and celebrate rugby in the region.

The ultimate aim is to provide a means of future selection for the Scotland Club XV international representative.
