A new Buckie’s craft group for kids is looking for volunteer committee members.
Craft Daft, which held its first monthly meeting at Fishermen’s Hall earlier in March, aims to provide a welcoming, safe, inclusive, and creative space for children to come together and enjoy some arts and crafts.
The club is seeking some interested local committee members to join the current team of three and provide support and encouragement. There will be about three committee meetings annually in addition to the Ordinary General Assembly meeting.
Parents, grandparents and carers can join in the fun as helpers as well as meeting up for a chat and tea or coffee. Activities will vary month to month depending on feedback and special projects/exhibitions with other groups will be encouraged.
A quiet space will also be developed to meet the needs of the children as necessary. A nominal subscription of £5 per child will be taken per meeting.
April hearing date not confirmed – follow Craft Daft’s Facebook page for updates.
Those interested in joining the committee should contact Elizabeth Souter in the first instance at firstname.lastname@example.org
