Gala took the lead in the 32nd minute through a handball inside the area from Cowdenbeath’s Alfie Robinson and Gregor Nicol sent Danny Farrell the wrong way from the resulting penalty.
Jacques Garrad almost equalized for the visitors on the spot when he fired the ball over Gala goalkeeper Roiredy Adams, but his effort bounced off the post and the danger was cleared.

Blue Brazil equalized moments later when Scott Walker’s throw-in was deflected by Dan Watt for Michael Cunningham’s shot into the net.
Sam Newman almost gave the visitors the lead moments later but his shot was wide.
At the end of the first half, Sam Young’s header was flicked over the bar by Adams.
Martin Scott’s team started the second half with the front foot and Gregor Jordan almost restored Gala’s lead with a powerful header from a corner kick, but Farrell managed to turn the ball over the bar.
The referee was the only person inside the field who did not see the save, and despite the objections of the players and fans, he awarded a goal kick.
Then Angel Ocholi did a good job down the left wing but his efforts were deflected into the side netting.
At the other end, Jarrad’s cross from Watt crossed for Cunningham to head in but Adams fumbled well to deny Cunningham a second.
Jordan was then on hand to block Cowdenbeath’s effort but Seated could have won it to the death with a Cairn Chalmers header returning from the base of the post before the ball was eventually cleared to safety after a powerful strike inside the six-yard box.
Ocholi was the Man of the Match chosen by match sponsors SPG & Novomatic Gaming.
