The staff of the Bennachie View Care Home in Inverurie held a sponsored Firewalk Friday evening to raise funds for the Care Home Amenities Fund.

Organized by Firewalk Scotland, the successful event was held in snowy conditions and raised over £4,500.

Jenny Murray, a spokeswoman for the home, said: “This is an incredible amount and will be used to bring activities and artists to the home, to plan summer outings and to buy Christmas gifts for residents.

“We would like to thank everyone who supported this event for all of their generous donations, and for all the supportive messages we have received.”
