The STRATHBOGIE SMALL AGRICULTURAL CLUB donated funds to the Huntly OAP Club after the Monday meeting in February.
On Wednesday, 15 February, the two groups met on a clear night – before the young farmers handed over a check for £300 to the Huntly OAP Club.
The groups annual gathering, which was making a comeback after the coronavirus pandemic, was attended by about 30 people.
Ashley Leggatt, of the Strathbogie Junior Agriculture Club, said: “It was a great night everyone turned out.
“We usually try to do it every year but haven’t been able to in the last few years, so it was good to get back together.
“They enjoy the night and we do too – it’s a good laugh and we always make a piece and a cup of tea to take with them afterwards.”
Ashley added that the group aims to donate between £1,000 and £1,500 to local clubs throughout the year.
Funds were raised during the year by Burns Suppers and Dances, with the latter also donating to Buckie RNLI.
