Shocked Alyson Hammond claims she’s ‘the one’ – weeks after she ‘engaged’ to Ben Hawkins

Allison Hammond has confirmed that she is single, sparking speculation that she has split from partner Ben Hawkins – just weeks after they were reported to be engaged.

The presenter, 48, left her relationship status Friday morning, when she exclaimed: “Well, I’m single!” while discussing the new spin-off show Love Island with co-host Dermot O’Leary.

As Dermott read the casting call for new show The Romance Retreat — which will be hosted by Davina McCall — he hinted to his colleague about signing up, telling her they were looking for ‘vibrant single parents’.

She replied, “Hi, I’m single!”

MailOnline has contacted Alison’s reps for comment.

The duo, along with two other panelists, have been raving about how great the show is, with Alison noting: ‘I’m excited. And good Davina for getting this, I love it! “

To Ai Dermot – who is apparently aware of her relationship status – then interrupted, ‘Wait a second, you have an 18+ child… ITV is looking for vibrant single parents from all over the world,’ says Alison. United kingdom…’
