House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) is preparing to demand testimony from members of the Manhattan attorney general’s office as an indictment against former President Donald Trump is expected, according to a report.
Politico reported Monday morning that Jordan and other senior Republican leaders plan to request testimony from the office as it appears the office is poised to indict Trump as soon as Tuesday.
If that happens, Republicans will want to have a response ready to go. They say they will investigate the Manhattan District Attorney, who will bring these charges against Donald Trump.” PoliticoRachel Paid said on the Politico Playbook podcast Monday.
There may be some kind of action by Jordan even before a possible indictment — early Monday, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy told reporters, including from Breitbart News, at the House Republican retreat in Orlando.
The procedure could include calling, swearing, and questioning Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg and other members of his office about the indictment.
Former United States Attorney General Brett Tolman has argued that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg is essentially using the same legal theory to convict former President Donald Trump who was fined by Hillary Clinton’s campaign. https://t.co/ww75wdz3wj

“Bragg is a crazy left-wing prosecutor backed by George Soros who presides over a Manhattan where crime is on the rise and he does it as a purely political hoax,” Jordan told Politico.
Rep. Scott Perry (R-PA) also told Politico that he wants Prague to come.
House GOP members are rallying around Trump, as reported by Breitbart News.
