Following the death of his son, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, has spoken out about his son’s death.

While speaking to the congregation at the Holy Ghost Service, May edition on Sunday, May 9, the clergyman urged his worshippers not to question God but should rather give him glory.

He said:

Whatever we have is given to us by God, be it wealth, wife, husband, children etc and if it got taken away by God, all we can do is give God glory for actually giving us the privilege to enjoy those wealth or kids temporarily and it is not for us to complain, blame, and question God”.

His son Leke Adeboye also gushed about his brother as he revealed that they did almost all everything together. He further praised his late brother for being a lover of God as he gave his all to expanding the gospel most especially his undiluted passion for the youth. He went on to list his brothers attribute as he reflects on their times together.

He said:

We did everything together, until we got married. Same schools, same everything. We got married on the same day, just a few years apart. He thought me to spread my wing, to soar high, to blaze the trail. He demonstrated what it truly meant to serve with brilliance and class. He was full of wisdom, solid on logic, and gifted with an incredible sense of humour. He lived entirely for the Lord and His work, dedicating his life to educating and inspiring young people on how to capitalise on and maximise their faith in any environment they find themselves. And ensuring they make heaven at the end” .

The son of Adeboye has sparked social media outrage after he and a lot of the youths in the church shaved their heads and beards as a sign of respect and tribute to their fallen hero.

According to him, it is a norm for the youth in the church to shave off their hairs if any heroic youth dies.
