Hundreds of Moroccans from 30 cities marked the 47th Palestinian Land Day and chanted against the normalization of their country’s ties with Israel.
“Moroccan people commemorated the Palestinian Land Day through events organized in more than 30 Moroccan cities,” announced the Moroccan Front in Support of Palestine and Against normalization in a statement.
The Moroccans, who attended the events, cried in support of Palestine and against the Israeli occupation of Palestine. They also cried out against their country’s normalization of ties to the Israeli occupation.

“Such events reaffirm the principle and historical position of Morocco supporting the Palestinians against the occupation. The participants expressed their rejection of the normalization of ties with the occupying state of Israel.” the added statement.
On December 10, 2020, Israel and Morocco announced the resumption of mutual diplomatic ties, which were severed in 2000 in protest against Israel’s aggression against the Palestinians.
Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs Nasser Bourita emphasized in February that the normalization of his country with Israel: “It will not affect its relationship with the Palestinian people.”
On March 30, Palestinians celebrate Palestinian Land Day, which commemorates a protest by hundreds of Palestinians in 1976 against Israel’s theft of land in the northern Galilee. He was confronted by Israeli occupation forces, who killed six protesters.
