Mission Street has been revealed as the sponsor for the CEO of the Year category at the 2023 Cambridge Independent Science and Technology Awards.
The company is a real estate investor, operator and developer focused on providing creative solutions to the cutting-edge science and innovation sector.
The company said: “Our mission is to become the partner of choice for the UK research and innovation sector, supporting the entire life cycle from discovery to research and development and manufacturing.
Our growing development portfolio includes over 1,000,000 square feet of committed projects in Cambridge, Oxford and Bristol.
“We are a major investor in Cambridge, delivering the 23-acre Coldhams Lane development and The Press, Foxton.”
Construction has begun on the delivery of the 100,000 square foot life sciences facility in Foxton.
The press is being created by Mission Street with BentallGreenOak (BGO).
They aim to transform the 7.8-acre site into a science and innovation campus by sensitively re-locating the former printing press and integrating it with state-of-the-art new buildings.
The CEO of the Year competition is always an exciting one, with the title being taken out last year by Mark Kotter, from bit.bio. It has previously been won by the likes of Martin Frost of CMR Surgical and Loubna Bouarfa of OKRA.ai.
The awards will take place on May 18 at Anglia Ruskin University’s School of Science and Engineering in Cambridge.
