Lauren shared the admission along with a clip of her dialogue with the 75-year-old New Zealand actor, best known for his role as paleontologist Alan Grant in the sci-fi series Jurassic Park.

He was promoting his new book, “Have I Told You This Before?” which he wrote after he was diagnosed with cancer.

While battling stage 3 angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma, a rare type of blood cancer, he turned to writing to fill his time and act as a therapist, which led to the creation of the book.

Now he’s in remission and appeared on Lorraines’ hit show to tell her he’s in “best health” and will be back at work next week.

She praised his book as “very funny” and praised his creative talent, which shines through even when he is very ill.

We previously reported how during the interview Neil discussed his audition for James Bond before Pierce Brosnan landed the role.

He said: “I was bullied by my agent at the time. I found myself auditioning for a part I’d never wanted to do, because no one wants to be the James Bond that no one likes — that’s an unenviable position.”

“The other thing is that my friend Pierce Brosnan wanted it and I wanted him to have it.”
