Perth is set to welcome another star after Grammy winner Lizzo announced she will be kicking off her own tour here in July.
The pop singer will bring her signature disco-funk beats and catchy anthems to a series of Headline Shows themed Down Under that kicks off at Perth Arena on July 14.
Lizzo will become the latest in a long line of international celebrities to grace Perth in recent months, including Harry Styles, Ed Sheeran, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Post Malone, the Back Street Boys and comedian Dave Chappelle.
The massive UFC 284 event saw Australian lightweight contender Aleksandr Volkanovski take on Islam Makhachev and drew many other high-profile names, including YouTuber Logan Paul, to our shores.
Lizzo’s second album Special received four nominations at the 65th Grammy Awards, with its lead single About Damn Time earning the coveted title for Record of the Year.
She is known not only for her award winning music – but also for her body positivity that has inspired people all over the world.
Her special guest for Australia and New Zealand will be Australian-born singer-songwriter Tkai Midza.
Lizzo will play three big arena tours, including Perth, Melbourne and Sydney, and headlining Splendor In The Grass.
Pre-sale tickets are on sale from 11am on Friday. General tickets will go on sale Wednesday, March 29 from 11 a.m. at live nation.
