The 25-year-old Bulldogs prop is engaged to glamor model Kristi Young after the pair met at church.
They are very eager to honor their Christian faith by remaining celibate, even though many of his bulldogs put him out of it, even though they support his strong values.
King has played 76 games in an injury-interrupted career across the Titans, Storm and Bulldogs since making his debut in 2017.

When (sex) isn’t at the forefront of everything, it’s like we’re able to have such good conversations and build on our relationship, and have such a good support system for each other.
“It (celibacy) helps his game, in that we have such a good foundation in our relationship.”
King and Young are determined to stay true to their Christian beliefs, and will not live together or have sex with each other until after their marriage later this year.

The couple now attend Glow Church together in South Sydney, but Young said she wasn’t always sure of a blossoming relationship given his profession.
“When I met him I was like ‘Oh you’re a footballer, red flag, what have I got myself into,'” she said.
‘certainly [his teammates are supportive] …but when we first started dating, they were like, “As if you are.” [abstaining from sex].
The Bible says, “deny the flesh, and God will bless you”: and we have seen such fruit from that.
“I feel so lucky to have met Max…we are puzzle pieces that fit together and it all comes down to God,” said the glamorous model.
King, whose grandfather, great-grandfather and father all played rugby league at the highest level, has previously been vocal about his desire to live a good Christian life.
But he felt that he had to hide it originally.
