Kouros Majidi is taking the Daily Walk Challenge for Cancer Research UK: 10,000 steps a day until 31 March.
He started the challenge last Wednesday (March 1), walking 4.3 miles (7.2 kilometers) and doing it in 11,372 steps. His daily route takes him from his home, down Woolvestan Road, to Byrne Road, then Hills Road and then down to the Cambridge Biomedical Campus.
Kouros is taking on the challenge in order to raise money for a family member suffering from cancer, and currently £60 has been raised – 30 per cent of his £200 target.
With Cancer Research UK’s giving pages, more money raised goes to beat cancer. Aside from credit and debit card fees, every penny donated goes to Cancer Research UK.
