Among those who will be walking the red carpet at the festival, which runs from Wednesday, March 1 through Sunday, March 12, are Trainspotting star Kelly MacDonald, two-time Academy Award nominee Emily Watson, and spunky actor James Cosmo.
Kelly MacDonald will join BAFTA winner Monica Dolan and director Carol Morley at The Pirate King’s first International Women’s Day Gala on March 8.

Emily Watson will attend the UK premiere of God’s Creatures on March 2, while James Cosmo will attend the UK premiere of My Sailor, My Love on March 3.
Inbetweeners star Joe Thomas, an alumnus of Isle of Skye-based Young Film, will help launch the fourth edition of its unique talent scheme aimed at identifying and supporting a new generation of screenwriting talent on March 9.
Impressionist star Alistair McGowan will attend the premiere of Mark Cousins’ documentary My Name Is Alfred Hitchcock on March 4 in the UK.
The film festival will also welcome a host of up-and-coming talent from behind the camera.

Alison Gardner, co-director of the Glasgow Film Festival, said: “The festival is delighted to welcome an array of local and international talent to this year’s festival.
From familiar faces like Kelly MacDonald and Emily Watson to first-time Scottish directors Adura Onashile and Andrew Cumming, along with filmmakers from the US, Canada, France, Germany and more.
“Everyone at the Gulf Film Festival was saddened to hear of the passing of Lee Whitlock, star of this month’s Anna Weekender, and we send our condolences to his friends and family.”
The 19th Glasgow Film Festival will run from 1-12 March at the Glasgow Film Theater (GFT) and other venues across the city.
