Communities driving change are set to take center stage at this year’s Join the Dots event in Moray.
tsiMoray, the annual community outreach event taking place at Elgin Town Hall on Thursday, March 30th, is the first time it has been held face-to-face since 2019 due to Covid.
The main theme to be considered will be community-led local development, with third sector and community groups being asked what positive actions they are taking and seeing these at the grassroots level.
Attendees will also be encouraged to think about more they would like to see happen, what is needed to make it happen, and how what is said at the event will help create a new community vision for Murray.
The discussion will also focus on how Just Transition can play a central and integral role in this vision.
A total of seven guest speakers line up for Join the Dots 2023: Elle Adams (Moray LAG member/researcher); Victoria Erickson (Dufftown and District Community Association); Jane Davidson (President of Wales Net Zero 2035); Hannah Monigle (RGU Law School Grampian Community Law Center); Jane Morrison (Board of Trustees of the Welfare Economics Alliance Scotland); Neil Rich (Director of Scotland, National Lottery Community Trust); Philip Revell (convener of the Scottish Communities Climate Action Network).
