John Wayne’s 2,000-acre ranch in Southern California is on the market for $12 million

A Southern California ranch that once belonged to old western movie star John Wayne is currently up for sale for $12 million.

According to the existing The agent, the estate is ‘very masculine and very western’ and is ideal for anyone looking to acquire ample space for equestrian or stocking use.

The estate, dubbed “Rancho Pavorial,” encompasses more than 2,000 acres in Sage, California, located between San Diego and Palm Springs.

The Coldwell Banker Homes listing says, “Once in a lifetime opportunity.”

Wayne, who was famous for starring in cowboy movies throughout the 1950s and 1960s, lived on the property for many years while he shot his now famous films.

The sprawling 2,000-acre property is located near Temecula Valley Wine Country and is a stone’s throw from both the beach in San Diego and the desert in Palm Springs.

According to listing agent Tatyana Novick, the property—which is located at 43000 Stanley Road in the census-designated Sage—has “incredible views in every season.”

Novick said the new property owner will be able to enjoy the snow-capped Palomar Mountains during the colder months and the green pastures and sun in the summer.

Rancho Pavorial also has running streams and three water wells.

Photos show the vast estate with its hiking and riding trails, flat land for horses and other livestock, and great mountain views.

The house itself is a 3,000 square foot dwelling built in the 1950’s with a barn right outside.

At one point, the owners used the property as a dude ranch, Novick said.

The estate is currently inhabited, and there is electricity and propane.

According to Novick who spoke with patchWayne lived on the ranch for several years while he made some of his biggest films of the 1950s and 1960s.

However, the exact dates when Wayne owned the property are not known.

One book from 1993 states that Wayne actually lived in the house from 1938 to 1948.

The home was later sold to an East Coast family who lived there until 2018.

It could be an easy sell for a huge, wealthy fan of the famous old western actor.

In his career, Wayne has starred in such classics as “True Grit” and “The Alamo” making him one of the most prolific actors of his time.

According to his IMDB page, Wayne — who was born Marion Michael Morrison — has appeared in over 180 projects throughout his decades-long career.
