Jeff Molina: The UFC fighter comes out as bisexual

UFC flyweight Jeff Molina came out as bisexual, sharing the news on social media but admitting it “wasn’t the way I wanted it to be done.”

“Wilbb… this shit sucks,” Molina wrote on Twitter on Friday (March 17). “TLDR [too long, didn’t read]: I’m bi.

“Not the way I wanted to do it but it robbed me of the opportunity to do it when I’m ready. I tried to keep my dating life private from social media. I’ve dated girls my whole life and I repressed the feelings I had all through high school on the wrestling team, all along University study period, and even after achieving part of the dream and entering the UFC.

“I’m a pretty masculine guy and that’s kidding bro […] He has always had a sense of humor as I am. Think of my comrades and colleagues and [people] I look forward to being looked at differently—not to mention being treated differently—because something I could not control was something I could not understand.

“In a sport like this where the majority of the fans are [are] Homophobics, I haven’t seen myself doing that during this part of my career.

Whether or not I wanted to be known for my skills and what I had dedicated the last 11 years of my life to. [being] “Bi UFC Fighter” which I am sure would be translated to “Gay UFC Fighter”.

“To the awful troubled person who decided to post this, I hope it was worth it. At the end of the day I know my character, my morals, and who I am as a person. As much hate as I get, I get an equal amount of support and that means a lot.”

Molina is currently suspended by the Nevada State Athletic Commission and the New York State Athletic Commission, amid allegations of his involvement in a betting scandal.
