Israel’s Defense Minister, Yoav Gallant, warned yesterday that Tel Aviv is facing a “complex period of security” and that Iran is waging an all-out war against it as it advances its plans to acquire military nuclear weapons, News Ynet reported.
“In each of the locations, the region could be set on fire and other locations ignited as well,” Gallant said during a meeting with high-ranking officials at the headquarters of the Shin Bet security agency.
He did not refer to his dismissal by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and insisted that since he and the attendees of the meeting are defense officers who have devoted their lives to Israel’s security, they must help create calm and establish dialogue .
Netanyahu fired Gallant on Sunday after calling for a halt to the ruling coalition’s ‘democratic’ judicial reforms.
