On March 30 every year, Palestinians everywhere celebrate Land Day.
The anniversary of the killing of six Palestinians during protests against Israel’s military plan to expropriate thousands of dunums of Palestinian land, in 1976.
The besieged Gaza Strip, like the rest of the Occupied Palestinian Territory and the Palestinians in Palestine ’48, held a number of events to commemorate the tragic anniversary.
Palestinian youth scouts marched through the streets of Gaza on Wednesday morning, carrying a large Palestinian flag and placards demanding the Right of Return of the Palestinian people.
The public event was organized by the Palestinian Ministry of Education in Gaza in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education.
The march started at the Saraya crossing in central Gaza and moved through Omar Al-Mukhtar Street, ending at the Legislative Council building.
