I can never be silenced – Iyabo Ojo says as she reacts to TAMPAN ban


Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo, is putting up a tough front following her banned from Nollywood Yoruba industry.

The actress was banned by TAMPAN from appearing in any Yoruba movie following her altercations with fellow actors over Baba Ijesha rape case.

In a press briefing held yesterday, Sunday 26th of June, the actress alongside Nkechi Blessing were blacklisted from the movie industry.

In a statement made by the body, TAMPAN barred movie directors in the association from working with them. According to the body, the actresses have disrespected and dragged the association in the mud.

Jide Kosoko, who spoke on behalf of the association stated that Iyabo Ojo had made derogatory remarks against the association and the movie industry, hence, the punishment.

The actress while reacting to the ban stated that her voice can never be silenced.

She wrote:

SILENCE IS GOLDEN                                     is why a lot of Our girl or boy child gets abuses, molested or raped daily & yet they’re afraid to                                            SPEAK UP……..bcos they’ll be bullied to silence by the same society meant to protect …..                                          SILENCE AREN’T GOLDEN IN NIGERIA”.

She captioned the post with,

“I can never be silenced, know that & know God 👌 Periodt”.
