Kash Patel, a former senior Trump administration official, said the former president’s iTunes debut song, “Justice for All,” featuring “January 6 Jail Choir,” “broke the music industry” because it put “America First’s values front and center.”
He listens:
“Justice for All,” is a tribute to the January 6 prisoners that features the “J6 Prison Choir,” a group of prisoners who can be heard singing the national anthem as Trump recites the Pledge of Allegiance.
As Patel said Breitbart News Saturday Host Matthew Boyle, he and the teams at Pyramid Records and Real America’s Voice were able to record the prisoners singing the national anthem, perfect that sound, and then superimpose it behind Trump’s vocal track.
“We basically broke the music industry is what we did here, because we put America First values front and center,” said Patel. “And we said we’re going to use free speech platforms like Truth Social and Rumble, and then we’re going to put out a song that talks about what’s on a lot of Americans’ minds.”
Patel also revealed that a music video for the song will be released on Saturday on the “freedom of expression platform” Rumble.
Patel protected the identities of the January 6 choir members but clarified that they were individuals who “we believe have been overcharged and suffer due process violation under the Constitution”.
Patel criticized President Joe Biden’s Department of Justice for creating a “two-tier system of justice” that makes decisions and prosecutions “on the basis of politics rather than facts and the law.”
Patel noted that the recently released Jan. 6 footage shows that not all individuals in the Capitol that day acted violently.
Patel said:
We are not saying that every prisoner on January 6 was overcharged. Some of the perpetrators of violence should be punished and imprisoned. But as we’ve seen, with the footage that Speaker McCarthy released to Tucker, we hope to see all of these individuals who are called these “violent terrorists,” as Fangfang Swalwell said now don’t commit any violent acts. And that was the whole point – not just to raise money for these financially decimated families, whose husbands, brothers and uncles languish in jail singing the anthem every night from jail. I can’t stress that enough.
Proceeds from the song will go to some of the families of the January 6 prisoners, but Patel hopes the song will do more than just raise money.
“And hopefully, the goal is not just to raise money, but to help educate people about destroying due process,” he said. “And, you know, it also shows the hypocrisy of the liberal left that used to be champions of prisoner rights, due process, and legal representation.”
Boyle highlighted the recently released January 6 footage and asked Patel if these tapes had any legal ramifications for any of the January 6 prisoners.
Patel called on the judges to ask federal prosecutors for more information about the latest tapes.
Patel said:
But we do know, and what I point out on the Truth Social site, is that the Department of Justice must appear, and these judges must act appropriately to say, “Where is this evidence that has not been given to anyone? Were there any Brady violations?” And the important thing is on the innocence or the evidence of impeachment, as we call it, the Giglio information, our constitutional rights through the Supreme Court that must be issued to every defendant. So are we going to find one or two people who would have changed their pleas or would have done something different? Maybe, but we have to listen to the defense attorneys in the system. courts.
If the truth about all of the January 6 cases is not made public, Patel said, it will “stifle the Constitution and due process for Americans moving forward.”
“It’s amazing, the hypocrisy of the liberal left who supposedly champions due process. I worked as a public defender for eight years. No one in the public defense community is talking about the rights of the defendants on January 6, because it is politically inconvenient for them to Do it.” “And I tell you, there are some of them who will probably be acquitted. If we had defense attorneys there looking at all of that evidence.”
