A rider and rider on a motorbike who collided with a cyclist were caught on CCTV allegedly fleeing through the bush, away from the scene.

Police said the moped and bicycle collided on the M7 Cycleway in Rooty Hill last July, leaving the 31-year-old cyclist with leg and arm injuries.

Officers posted pictures of two men wearing masks who police believe can help in the investigation of the incident.

Police revealed that the masked scooter rider was wearing black DKNY track pants, a black mask, a black bomber jacket, a blue jumper and white Nike TN shoes as he was clipped climbing a short fence near the tall grass.

He was described as being between 20 and 25 years old, 170 to 175 cm tall, and of a slender build.

It was described as being between 15 and 20 years old and about 160 to 165 cm tall.

Meanwhile, the woman was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Westmead Hospital.

Investigations are ongoing.
