Debbie’s husband has confirmed her tragic death after a 17-year battle with breast cancer, after a repeat episode of her last week.
He wrote on Facebook: “Debbie, who was on The Chase on [Wednesday] And whom Sean flirts with, she sadly lost her 17-year battle with cancer last week.
She was my beautiful wife and it was hard to see her but at the same time it was beautiful to see her the way she was.
Filmed about three years ago. She was one of the last to be photographed before the lockdown.

Tragic: A woman who once appeared in The Chase has passed away
She had breast cancer 14 years before this which was away for several years, but about a year after she was photographed, it had returned to her bones and then to her brain.
Her husband was referring to a moment when stalker Shaun Wallace rudely said, “Hi Debbie”, when she was awarded the £5,000 cash prize.
Then Lieutenant Colonel Bradley Walsh exclaimed, “What is that?” Before teasing Debbie again: “Hey Sean! You see I wasn’t flirting right?
Bradley replied, “Well, I don’t know about that!” But Shun rushed to her defense.
Debbie competed in the ITV Games Show in 2021 but unfortunately didn’t make it to the final alongside her fellow contestants, George and Helen.
