Sky Bet League One’s scheduled trip from Cambridge United to Burton Albion this coming Saturday has been postponed.
The U’s were set to head to Staffordshire looking for a win to start their bid for survival, having fallen to six points from safety following a 2-1 home defeat last weekend to Charlton Athletic.
However, due to the Brewers having three players called up on international duty over the coming days, the EFL has moved the game to Wednesday, May 3, and it is now United’s penultimate game of the season.
In a message to fans on the official Cambridge website, the statement read: “Tickets already purchased for the match will still be eligible for the rescheduled match, but refunds can be requested for those who cannot make the new date, by emailing info@cambridgeunited. com.
“Supporters booked on CFU coach travel may email cfuawaytravel@yahoo.com to request a refund, otherwise their reservation will remain valid on the rearranged match date.”
Second-from-bottom United are now set to return to action on Saturday, April 1st when they travel to Port Vale.
