Nigeria singer and rapper, Olawale Ashimi popularly known as Brymo has given an update on his ongoing case with 2baba Idibia.
He revealed that the singer has failed to file a lawsuit against him in court as he hasn’t received a summon from the court nor an official document.
“Let it be public knowledge that I have received no documents of any kind pointing to my being sued by Mr Idibia. Or his handlers or attorneys…. the impunity with which he lied to all of society in the letter and public statement should rightly pose a setback”.
Recall that 2baba filed a defamatory lawsuit against him demanding for a retraction of his statement on his social media accounts.
The singer through his lawyers seeked an unreserved public apology tendered to him and his wife, Annie Idibia. His solicitors stated that failure for Brymo to respond to the suit in 48 hours would lead to a redression for a billion naira as damages.
His solicitors stated that the “false” and “baseless” allegations leveled against him has put a taint on his person, caused him and his family distress, and has led to the loss of significant business deals.
Brymo who seems unruffled and unfazed, dared the singer to drag him to court.
Brymo stood his grounds on his words and refused retracting his statement.
“I have received this from Innocent Idibia’s lawyers, or so it reads.
I’ll advice they go on to court, as I insist on all my tweets asserted, they are not “nonsense””.
