argos
Since Argos was acquired by giant Sainsbury’s, it has been closing stores in order to integrate it into its existing stores.
On 22 March, Argos is due to close its standalone store in the Pyramids Shopping Centre, in Birkenhead, Merseyside.
The chain closed its Coatbridge branch in Lanarkshire, Scotland on March 11.
Furthermore, Argos will close both its Cardiff Bay store in July and its branch in Newport, Wales in the summer.
BM

B&M retailer will see two more store closures this month (Stock Image)
On March 4, B&M closed its Maesglas Retail Park store in Newport, Wales.
It will now close its Kilmarnock store on Queen’s Drive Retail Park on 26 March.
B&M will also close its Bristol store at the Broadwalk Shopping Center on March 29.
While some are closing, the retailer plans to expand into other areas.
A new store opened in Barnsley on 4 March and the company will take over the old Debenhams site in Scunthorpe soon.
Clinton
Card retailer Clintons will close shop on King Street, Whitehaven, on March 19.
Its Market Street store in Bolton is also set to close, but no date has been set yet.
Homens
Homesense is closing one store this month in Swansea, but the exact date has yet to be confirmed.
Iceland

Iceland will close its South Street store, Newport, on the Isle of Wight for good on March 25.
On the same day, the branch at St Catherine Place, Bedminster, Bristol will be closed.
The frozen food specialist will be closing its outlet at Deiniol Centre, Bangor, Wales on 27 March.
The retailer closed its White Rose Center location in Rhyl on 14 March.
Marks and Spencer
M&S will close its Fenchurch Street store in London on March 31.
The supermarket announced last year that it would close 67 of its large stores as part of an overhaul of its business, though only one of those closures will take place this month.
M & Co

M & Co has gone into administration twice in two years and will close eight stores over the next two weeks
M&Co will close Wick and Fort William stores on March 25.
Six stores will then close on April 1, and M&Co locations in Lewes, Gosport, Belper, Beccles, Newquay and Lerwick were affected.
M&Co entered administration for the second time in two years in December 2022.
