Actor, Yomi Fabiyi reacts to the heavy backlash over his newly released movie, Oko Iyabo


Yoruba Nollywood actor, Yomi Fabiyi has reacted to the massive backlash he has been receiving following the release of his new movie,Oko Iyabo.

The controversial movie which has been uploaded to YouTube centers on the ongoing Baba Ijesha rape saga.

The outspoken actor has been a subject of criticism following the movie premiere.

Taking to his Instagram page, to actor states that the movie is aimed at correcting child abuse, assault, human rights abuse and other vices.

He advised his trolls not to rush at any negative narrative as he will never downplay the real issues.

He went to reveal that the movie has been pulled out for peace to reign.

He wrote:

I have ask they PULL or PRIVATE the movie for sake of peace.

The movie is however to correct CHILD ABUSE, ASSAULT, HUMAN RIGHTS ABUSE AND OTHER VICES and to state clearly i am not what they claim I am initially.

Don’t rush on any negative narrative guys. I am human but will never down play the real issues that concerns children. It is just an expression and I expect polite and superior arguments or opinion. Thank you lovelies.

He captioned the post with,

“The STORYLINE is good and meant to inject right values, correct ills and educate but social media will always go this route. Thanks for reaching out and expressing yourself on this movie. Thank you sirs and mas”.

In a follow up, he cautioned people it to use this an opportunity as he begged them to stop the backlash.

He wrote:

He captioned the post with,
