Tributes to Stuart Crawford have been made on social media after police named him after the dead man yesterday afternoon.
We previously reported that Stewart, 37, was hit by a silver Ford Fiesta on Saturday, March 11, on Cozyside Boulevard.
It has been praised by more than 150 people.
One person said: “I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Stuart for many years, he was also an initiator at my wedding. What an absolute gentleman who couldn’t do enough for his friends. What a loss. He’s gone but never forgot my friend.”

The investigation into the accident is still ongoing.
Yesterday, Staff Sergeant Christopher Hogans said: “Our thoughts remain with Stewart’s family and friends at this difficult time.
“Our inquiries are ongoing, and we are keen to trace the drivers of a red Ford Fiesta, and a silver estate car, possibly a taxi, who may have witnessed the accident.
“I would also like to ask anyone with any dash cam or private CCTV footage that might help to contact us.”
