A woman at the border subjected police officers to derogatory remarks

Elizabeth Stevens pleaded guilty to repeatedly screaming during the disturbance outside her home in Roxburgh Place, Newtown St Boswells, on 18 October 2021.

The Jedburgh Sheriff’s Court was told that officers were in the area dealing with another incident when Stevens became abusive to the police.

Sentencing was delayed until 9/11 and Stevens was told she could expect to take the blame if she stayed out of trouble.
